Dental bonded filling materials can be gold; porcelain; silver amalgam (or we call in layman term as silver fillings) that is made of mercury mixed with silver, tin, zinc and copper; or a white composite resin of plastic and glass called a bonded filling. At Keele MajorMac Dental Centre, Dr. Jacqueline Ha and her associates do not use silver fillings at all and they employ well matched bonded fillings to the natural tooth colour.
Dr.Jacqueline Ha or her associates begin with the administration of a local anesthetic on the area around the tooth or teeth that need to be done. They then wait for an appropriate amount of time for the settling of local anesthetic, all decay in the tooth is removed and the tooth is prepared for the dental filling. Proper technique is done to ensure the filling bonds completely to the tooth surfaces. Once the bonded filling is completely adhered to the tooth surfaces, the surface of the filling will be adjusted to the proper and comfortable bite, then is polished thus ensuring the texture of the filling is consistent with the colouration and the smoothness of the natural tooth.
Many patients will not perceive any difference following their bonded tooth filling. However, in some cases, due to the extension of the decay (too deep to the nerve, or too large, or too deep on to the root surfaces), some patients may experience post-operative teeth sensitivity. I had very crooked teeth and went to few dentists to ask about options to straighten my teeth. My aunt told me to come here and I came to check out. The receptionist was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. She helps me feel at ease because I am scared of the dentists. To my surprise, Dr. Ha is a very fun and friendly dentist. She spent lots of time and explained in details what I need to do to take care of my teeth during the time I wear braces. I was so scared when I had to remove my four teeth in order to resolve my crooked teeth. Dr. Ha did it so fast, no pain and I was very comfortable with her. Dr. Ha also placed braces on my teeth and now I have beautiful straight teeth, done earlier than I expected and I am so thankful that she is my dentist.

This dental centre has longer operating hours then most clinics in Vaughan which accommodate to my availabilities. The dentist and their associate are very nice and knowledgeable in their work of specialty. The staff at the dental centre are very professional and welcoming. They take on new clients and they have appointments after 6 p.m on weekdays.
I recommend all families and neighbours to give this dental centre a chance to work on your teeth if you live in this area of Vaughan.
